Distributional Range: EAST TROPICAL AFRICA: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda WEST-CENTRAL TROPICAL AFRICA: Burundi, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda
Habitat: Afroalpine; on moist ground; in short grass, in woodland or scrub, occasionally in bamboo thickets; montane forest and ericaceous belts; mountain summits among rocks; 2000-4050 m alt.
