Distributional Range: Native Asia-Temperate MIDDLE ASIA: Tajikistan

Habitat: Grows in the mountains of Tajikistan ( but according to the Kew's Plants of the world online also in Kirgizistan and Uzbekistan),  for example on  the Ichkele Too Mountains (гор Ичкеле-Тоо),  in the mid-parts of the ridge, in limestone cliffs and  niches.
