Distributional Range: Native Europe SOUTHEASTERN EUROPE: Bulgaria, Greece
Habitat: Viola delphinantha was described from the summit of Mt Athos, where it is locally rather common. It is otherwise a rare species occurring in crevices of limestone cliffs at (700–) 1400–2500 m in Greece and S Bulgaria. It is a distinctive, woody-based perennial with narrow, almost needle-like leaves and a pinkish-lilac corolla with a long, slender spur.
