Distributional Range: Native Southern America WESTERN SOUTH AMERICA: Chile [Atacama; Coquimbo; Valparaíso; Región Metropolitana de Santiago;O'Higgins; Maule; Biobío]
Description and ecology : annual plant, in lax rosette. Linear-lanceolate leaves, uninervated, whole, with white hairs on the margin. Lonely yellow flowers with red veins. The stylar crest is completely trilobed unlike V. polypoda which is whole or almost whole. It blooms from August to September. Abundant in hills (cerros) of the central area ( 0 - 2700 m) .
