Diagnostic characters.—Perennial dwarf ericoid subshrublets.
Included species.—1.
Distribution.—The sole species of this section is limited mainly to the southern Chilean regions of Bío Bío, Araucania [its centre of concentration] and Los Rios. It also occurs rarely in adjacent Neuquén Province, Argentina.
Etymology: The epithet refers to the Erica-like appearance of the only species.
