Description: Perennial herb, only 2–7 cm tall, with leaf rosettes growing on creeping, stolon-shaped stolons. The leaves are petiolate, ovate to almost orbiculate, 4–20 mm long and 2–10 mm wide, entire or octopus to crenate, shortly hirsute. Flowers are individual, 15–25 mm long, calyx leaves are lanceolate, corolla leaves obovate to almost orbiculate, yellow, spur is cylindrical, up to 13 mm long. The fruit is a spherical capsule reaching 3-5 mm in diameter.
Distributional Range: Native Asia-Temperate CAUCASUS: Russian Federation-Ciscaucasia [Ciscaucasia].
Habitat: It grows on stony slopes and scree in alpine mountains, at altitudes from 2400 to 3600 m. It blooms in July and August.
