Description: Small size ( about 1-1.5 cm) perennial herb.
Distribution: Native Asia-Temperate EASTERN ASIA: Japan [Ryukyu Islands (Iriomote-jima & Ishigakijima)]
Habitat: Mountains streams. Rocks which require sprays, such as the basin of a waterfall. It grows on rocks or moss.
Note: Ethymology: tashiroi refferring to Tashiro, Antei 1857-1928 a writer author of "臺灣行道樹及市村植樹要鑑 -A Guide to Tree Planting in Taiwan and City Villages" and other works.
