After these things, I saw another angel descending out of the Heaven, having great authority. And the Earth was lit up by the glory of him.
And he shouted in a strong voice, saying, "It has fallen! It has fallen, Babylon the Great. And she has become a hovel of demons! Even a prison for every unclean spirit! Even a prison for every unclean bird! Even a prison for every unclean and hated beast!
Because, of the wine of the passion of the fornication of hers all the nations have drunk! Even the kings of the Earth have fornicated with her! And the merchants of the Earth, from the power of the arrogance of her, have become rich!"
And I heard another voice out of the Heaven, saying, "Come out, the people of Mine, from her! So that you do not join in the sins of hers! And so that you do not receive from the plagues of hers!
Because they have been joined together, the sins of hers, as far as the Heaven*! And the God has made remembrance of the injustices of hers.
Render to her even as she rendered, even double to her the double according to the works of hers, by the cup that she mixed mix to her double,
as much as she glorified herself and acted arrogantly—this much give to her torment and mourning, because in the heart of hers she says that, ‘Queen I sit!’ and “Widow I am not!’ and ‘Mourning—no!—I may not see it!’
Due to this, in* one day the plagues of hers, death and mourning and famine will come, and in* fire will she be burned up, because strong is the Lord God who has judged her.
And they will weep and strike themselves over her—the kings of the Earth, who had fornicated with her and acted arrogantly, when they see the smoke of the burning of hers,
standing a great distance away due to the fear of the torment of hers, saying, ‘Ack! Ack! The city, the great city! Babylon the city, the strong city! That* in one hour came the judgement of you!’
Also the merchants of the Earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys the cargo of theirs any longer,
cargo of gold and silver and precious stone and pearls and fine linen and purple* and silk and carmine and every thyine wood* and every ivory vessel and every vessel of precious wood and of copper and of iron and of crystalline rock*
and cinnamon and amomon* and fragrant stuffs and perfume and libanon and wine and oil and fine flour and grain and cattle and sheep and horses and chariots and bodies and souls* of human beings.
