During the third year of Baltasár ruling,
a vision that I myself Daniél saw, after the seeing by me of the first vision.
And I saw in the spectacle of the dream of mine, my being in Soúsa the city,
that is in Elumaîs region.
And I saw in the spectacle, my being yet before the gate Ailám.
Having looked up, I saw one great ram, standing opposite the gate.
And it had horns, and the horns were high,
and the one was higher than the other. And the higher one went up.
Yet after these things, I saw the ram horn-charging to the east
and to the north and to the west and southward.
And all the beasts, they did not stand, after him.
And there was not the one drawing out of the hands of his.
And he did as he wanted and he was exalted.
And I pondered. And behold! A he-goat of goats was ruling*
from the west upon** the Earth's face. And he did not fasten to the earth.
And there was, of the he-goat, one horn visible, up between the eyes of his.

And he came upon the ram that was having the horns that I saw were standing before the gate.
And he ran at him in rage's passion.
And I saw him leading forth toward the ram. And he was impassioned against him.
And he struck the ram and shattered the two horns of his.
And there was no longer strength in the ram to stand against the he-goat.
And he rent him upon the earth and shattered him.
And there was not the one drawing the ram from the he-goat.

And the he-goat of the goats prevailed extremely.
And when it prevailed, the horn, the great horn of his, was shattered.
