1 Song of the ascents.
From depths I cry out to You, Lord.
2 Lord, listen to the sound* of mine.
May the ears of Yours be holding forth
to the sound of the supplication of mine.
3 If You would closely guard lawless acts, Lord,
Lord, who will stand under that?
4 The why*: Next to You is the propititation.
5 For the sake of the way* of Yours, I have abided under You, Lord.
The soul* of mine has abided under, in* the word of Yours.
6 The soul of mine has hoped upon the Lord,
from dawn's watch unto night's.
From dawn's watch must Israel hope upon the Lord.
7 The why: Next to the Lord is the mercy,
and plentiful next to Him is redemption,
8 and He Himself will redeem the Israel
from all the lawless acts of his.
