2 And I heard sound *from the Heaven like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of great thunder, and *sound like sound of harpists harping on the harps of theirs*.
...
4 These are the ones who were not prophaned with wives.* Indeed they are virgins. These are the ones following the Lamb wherever He would lead. These were bought from the human beings, as the first sacrifice* to* the God and to the Lamb.
...
9 And another angel, third, followed them, saying in great voice, "If someone kneels before* the beast, even* the image of it, even* receives marking on the forehead of his or on the hand of his,
10 even the same will drink from the wine of the passion of the God, that is mixed unmixed* in the cup of the wrath of His, and he will be tormented in fire and sulphur in the sight of holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb.
11 And the smoke of the torment of theirs rises in aeons of aeons, and they have not rest day and night, the ones kneeling before the beast, even the image of it, even* if someone receives the mark of the name of it.
12 Here is the endurance of the saints, the ones keeping the commandments of the God and the faith of Iesoús.
13 And I heard sound* from the Heavens, saying*, "Write! Blessed are the dead who are dying in the Lord henceforth. Yes, says the Spirit, so that they may rest from the toils of theirs. For the works of theirs follow with them."
14 And I saw—and see!—a cloud, white, and upon the cloud one sitting, one like a son of a human being, having upon the head of his a golden crown, and in the hand of his a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out from the temple, screaming in a great voice to the one sitting upon the cloud, "Send the sickle of Yours and reap! Because the hour to reap has come! Because the harvest of the earth has dried*!"
16 And the one sitting upon the cloud cast the sickle of his upon the earth and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out from the temple, the one in the Heaven, having also a sharp sickle himself.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, the one having authority over the fire. And he voiced with a huge voice to the one having the sickle, the sharp sickle, saying, "Send the sickle of yours, the sharp sickle! And strip* the bunches from the vine of the earth! Because the grapes of it have peaked in condition!"
19 And the angel cast the sickle of his to the earth. And he stripped the vine of the earth. And he cast into the trough* of the passion* of the God, the great passion.
20 And the trough was trodden outside the city. And blood came out from the trough, up to the bits of horses one-thousand six-hundred stadia* away.
Notes
2 One manuscript adds as (i.e. as from the Heaven); some manuscripts read and the sound that I heard was like of; or cithára-players cithára-playing on the citháras of theirs (Greek: κιθάρα, kithára, a 7-stringed instrument)
4 This reading is confirmed by 1 Corinthians 7 (married life detracts from service to the Lord) and the New and Old Testament directions to abstain from sexual relations to increase purity, whereas reading it as "defiled with women" is nowhere confirmed in Holy Scripture (nowhere are women described as unclean in and of themselves); or fruits; or by.
