1 Yet we ask you, siblings, over* the arrival of the Lord of ours, Iesoús Christ, and our gathering up together up to* Him,
2 to the [goal for] you not to be hastily shaken from the mind*, nor alarmed, neither due to spirit, nor due to word, nor due to epistle, as [though] due to us, [or] as [though] because the day of the Lord is standing by:
3 [let] not anyone delude you, not in any way, [from the knowledge] that except the apostasy would come first, and the human being of the lawlessness* be revealed, the son of the destruction*,
4 the [one] opposing and elevating [himself] over upon all [things] called "God" or "thing of reverence", so even [for] him to sit down in the temple of the God, showing himself forth* that "he is God"!
5 You do not remember that [while] still being before you, I was saying these [things] to you?*
6 And now you perceive the [thing that] is holding [him] down, to the [goal for] him to be revealed in the [proper] timing of itself*.
7 Indeed, the mystery of the lawlessness already operates. Alone [is] the [one] holding [him] down presently, until he is out of the midst.
8 And then he will be revealed, the lawless [one], whom the Lord Iesoús will take up [from the Earth] by the Spirit of the mouth of His and bring down to inertia by the appearance of the presence of His.
9 Of him is the presence down to the working* of the Satan, by every [deed of] power* and signs and deceptive wonders,
10 and by every trick of injustice, against them who did not receive the love of the truth, unto the [result for] them to be saved.
11 And due to this, the God sends* to them waywardness's working*, unto the [result for] them to believe the falsehood,
12 so that they be judged: all the [ones] not having believed the truth [but] instead having well esteemed the injustice.
13 Yet we are obliged to give thanks to the God always about you, siblings cherished by the Lord, because* the God took you to Himself from the beginning, to salvation by sanctification of Spirit and faith of truth*.
