The Lord from a womb called me,
from my mother’s insides He announced my name.

in the shadow of His hand He hid me.
And He set me as a polished arrow,
in His quiver He concealed me.

Israel, in you I shall be glorified.”

to nothingness and void my strength I exhausted,
yet truly my judgement is with the Lord,
my wages with my God.”

my maker, from a womb to a servant to Him,
that Jacob be brought back to Him
and Israel not gathered away,
and I am honoured in the Lord’s eyes,
and my God has become my power.
6 And He said,
“It is the smallest matter that you be to me a servant,
to raise up Jacob’s tribes,
and Israel’s preserved to lead back,
I will give even you as nations’ light,
my salvation be to the Earth’s end.
