So become imitators of the God, as beloved children,
and walk in love, even just as the Christ loved us, and gave Himself for us: offering and sacrifice to the God for a pleasant fragrance.
But fornication and uncleanness—any—or covetousness, not even let it be named among you, just as befits saints.
Even obscene conduct, even moronic talk or buffoonery, which are not advantageous: instead, more thanksgiving!
Indeed, you are aware of this, knowing that anyone a fornicator or unclean or covetous (that is an idolater) has not inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
Let not even one person deceive you with empty words: for due to these things the wrath of the God comes upon the sons of the disobedience.
So do not become partakers with them.
For you were once darkness, but now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
(indeed, the fruit of the light is by all goodness and righteousness and truth),
approving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
And do not fellowship together with the unfruitful works of the darkness. Instead, better, even evaluate them!
Indeed, the hidden things coming into being from them are shameful even to say.
But all the things evaluated under the light are revealed.
Indeed, always the revealing thing is light. Therefore He says, 'Awake, you the sleeper, and resurrect from the dead, and the Christ will shine on you.'
So watch sharply how you walk. Not as unwise ones; instead, as wise ones,
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Due to this, do not become unthinking. Instead, comprehend what is the will of the Lord.
And be not drunk with wine, in which is wastefulness, but be filled with Spirit
talking among yourselves, in psalms and hymns and spiritual odes singing, and melodizing in the heart of yours to the Lord,
giving thanks, always for everything, in the Lord of ours Jesus Christ's name, to the God and Father.
Submitting to one another in fear of Christ,
the wives to their own husbands as to the Lord,
because a husband is head of the wife as also the Christ is head of the assembly. He is rescuer of the body.
Still, as the assembly submits to the Christ, in this way the wives to the husbands in all things.
The husbands: Love the wives just as the Christ loved the assembly and handed Himself over for her,
so that He sanctify her, cleansed by the washing of the water in utterance,
so that He present the assembly to Himself in glory, not having fleck or wrinkle or something of these such things, but so that she be holy and unblemished.
