1 Likewise wives submitting to their own husbands, so that even if some disobey the Word, through the conduct of the wives without word they may be won over,
2 having studied the—in fear—pure conduct of yours,
3 of whom there must not be the external of braiding of hair and of wearing of gold, nor order* from garments' enrobement;
4 instead, the hidden human of the heart, in the incorruptibility of the quiet and gentle spirit that is very valuable in the sight of the God;
5 for in this way, once, also the holy women who hoped in God decorated themselves, submitting to their own husbands,
6 as Sarah heeded by Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you become, doing good and not fearing any excitement*.
