1 Blessed is a man who does not walk in a counsel of impious ones,
and does not stand in a way of sinful ones,
and does not sit in a seat of pestilent ones.
2 Instead, his will is certainly in the law* of the Lord,
and to His law* he will attend day and night.
3 And he will be like the tree planted beside the thoroughfares of the waters,
that will give its fruit in its season,
and whose leaf will not fall away.
And all things, whatsoever he may do, shall be prospered.
4 Not so are the impious, not so!
Instead, they are indeed like the dust that the wind blows away from the face of the earth.
5 Because of this, impious persons will not rise up in judgement,
nor sinful persons rise up in righteous persons' counsel.
6 Because the Lord knows the way of righteous persons,
and the way of impious persons shall be undone.
