8 But you, do not be called 'rabbi',* for One is the teacher of yours*, the Christ*. Yet all of you are siblings.
9 And [a] father do not call yours on the earth, for One is yours, the Father, the Heavenly [Father]*.
10 Neither be called 'guides', for your guide is One, the Christ.
11 Yet the greatest among you will be your servant.
12 Yet whoever will exalt himself will be lowered, and whoever will lower himself will be exalted.
13 Yet* woe to you, scribes and Pharisaioi, hypocrites, because you shut the Kingdom of the Heavens in front of human beings. For* you [yourselves] do not go in, nor them going in do you let go in!

29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisaioi, hypocrites, because you build the tombs of the prophets and you decorate the memorials of the righteous,
30 and you say, 'If we were being in the days of the fathers* of ours, we would not be their partners in the blood of the prophets!',
31 such that you witness yourselves that you are sons of the murderers of the prophets.
32 Also you fulfill the measure of your parents!
33 [You] serpents, offspring of vipers, how can you escape from the judgement of Hell?
34 Because of this! Look!
I [myself] send to you prophets and wise [ones] and scribes.
[Some] of them you will kill and you will crucify.
And [some] of them you will scourge in the assembly places* of yours,
and pursue from town to town,
35 the [way] how it would* come upon you, all righteous blood shed upon the earth,
from the blood of Habel the righteous until the blood of Zacharias Barachias’s son,
whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
36 Amen* I say to you, all these [things] will have come upon the lineage, this [lineage].
37 Ierousalem! Ierousalem! who kills the prophets and stones the [ones] sent to her! How often I have wanted to gather up together the children of yours, [the] way that [a] bird* gathers up together the broods of hers under the wings, and you did not want [that].
38 See! It is left to you, the home of yours, desolate*.
39 For, I say to you, no, you may not see Me, from now until you would say, 'Blessed [is] the [one] coming in [the] Lord's name!'"

" Some ancient manuscripts instead read "guide" (please note the tension with 1 Corinthians 12:28 and Ephesians 4:11-12 that speak of multiple teachers being divinely provided "in the ekklesia" for "the saints" and "the body of Christ").
