1 Thessalonians 5

...

4 Yet you, siblings, are not in darkness, so that the day, like a thief, take you down.*

5 Indeed, you all are sons of light and sons of day. We* are not of night or darkness.

6 So, therefore, may we not sleep like* the others! Instead, may we watch and may we be sober!

7 Indeed, the ones sleeping of night, sleep, and the ones being made drunk of night, are drunk.

...

9 because the God did not set us unto wrath, but unto safe-keeping of salvation through the Lord of ours, Jesus Christ,

10 who died for us, so that whether we should watch or we should sleep, at the same time we should live together with Him.

11 Therefore comfort one another and build up, the one the other one, even how you are doing already.

...

16 Always–be graceful.*

17 Without omission–pray.

18 In all–give thanks. This, indeed, is God's will, by Christ Jesus, for you.
