I am the true vine. And My Father is the farmer.
Every branch in Me not bearing fruit—He takes it away. And every one bearing fruit—He prunes it, so that it bear more fruit.
Already you are clean because of the word that I spoke to you.
Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, if it does not remain on the vine, likewise neither you, if you do not remain in Me.
I am the vine, you the branches. The one remaining in Me and I in him—this one bears much fruit, because without Me you cannot do anything.

If you will keep the commandments of Mine, you will abide in the love of Mine, just as I kept the commandments of the Father of Mine and abide in the love of His.
These things I have said to you, so that the joy that is Mine be in you and the joy of yours be made full.
This is My commandment: that you love one another as I have loved you.
Greater than this love no one has: that someone lays down his life for his friends.
You are My friends if you do the* things that I command you.
