23 A prayer, then, the priests made, while the sacrifice was consuming,
both the priests and all, Jonathan beginning and the others answering like Nehemiah.
24 And the prayer was having this direction:
Lord, Lord the God, the Creator of all,
The terrifying and strong and righteous and merciful, the only king and good,
25 The only patron, the only righteous and omnipotent and eternal,
The preserver of Israel from every evil, the one who made the parents elect and who sanctified them,
26 Receive the sacrifice for all the people of Yours, Israel,
And guard the remnant of Yours and consecrate it.
27 Gather together the dispersed of us, liberate the enslaved among the peoples,
Look upon those set at naught and abhorred, and make the peoples know that You are the God of ours.
28 Test the oppressors and the arrogating in hubris.
29 Transplant the people of Yours into the holy place of Yours, just as Moses said.
