John 21
After these things, He manifested Himself again—the Iesoús—to the disciples*, on the sea* of Tiberiás. Yet He manifested in this way:
They were at the same place—Símon Pétros, and Thomãs (the one being called Dídumos), and Nathanaèl (the one from Kaná of Galilaía), and the sons of Zebedai̇̃os, and others from the disciples of His, two others.
He says to them—Símon Pétros, "I go away to fish." They say to him, "We are coming, also we with you." They went out, and they stepped into the boat*, and in that night* they caught nothing.
Yet, early day having come, already Iesoús stood at* the shore*, though—mind you—the disciples had not perceived that it is Iesoús.
So He says to them—the Iesoús, "Little children! Not any food* you have?" They answered Him, "No."
Yet He said to them, "Cast the net to the parts right of the boat, and you will find." So they cast, and no more did they manage to draw it, from the plethora of fish.
So he says—that* disciple whom the Iesoús cherished—to Pétros, "It is the Lord." So Símon Pétros, having heard that it is the Lord, engirded himself with the coat of his, for he was naked, and he cast himself into the sea*.
Yet the other disciples came in the boat, for they were not far from the land, but as though 200 cubits* away, dragging the net of fish.
As they get to the land, they see coal lying, and fish lying upon it, and bread.
The* Iesoús says to them, "Bring from the fish, of them you caught now."
So Símon Pétros stepped up* and drew the net to* the land, full of large fish, one-hundred and fifty-three. Even there being so many of these, the net did not split.
The Iesoús says to them, "Hither! Eat a meal!" Now, not one of the disciples was daring* to examine Him by asking, "Who are you?", they having perceived that it is the Lord.
So the* Iesoús goes and He takes the bread and He gives* to them, and the fish likewise.
Now,* this was already the third time the Iesoús was manifested to the disciples*, having been raised from the dead.
So, when they had eaten the meal, He says to Símon Pétros—the Iesoús, "Símon son of Ioánnes*, you cherish Me more than these?" He says to Him, "Yes, Lord. *Do You see that I love You?" He says to him, "Nurture* My lambs."
Again He says to him, a second time, "Símon son of Ioánnes*, you cherish Me?" He says to Him, "Yes, Lord. *Do You see that I love You?" He says to him, "Shepherd the sheep of Mine."
He says to him the third time, ""Símon son of Ioánnes*, you love Me?" He was pained*—the Pétros—that He said to him the third time, "You love Me?" And he says to Him, "Lord, You see all things. *Do You know that I love You?" He* says to him, "Nurture the sheep of Mine.
Certainly, certainly, I say to you, when you were younger, you would gird yourself and walk where you wanted. Yet when you will be old, you will stretch out the hands of yours, and another* will gird you and bring you where you do not want to go."
Now, He said this signifying by what death he will glorify the God. And having said this, He says to him, "Follow Me!"
Having turned around, the Pétros sees the disciple whom the Iesoús cherished, following (he who also, in the supper, reclined onto the breast of His and said, "Lord, who is the one handing you over?").
So*, having perceived this, the Pétros says to Iesoús, "Lord! Yet, this disciple is what*?"
The Iesoús says to him, "If I would want him to remain until I come, what is that against* you? You—follow Me!"
So this* account went out to the siblings, that this disciple will not die. Yet the Iesoús did not say to him that he will not die; instead: "If I would want him to remain until I come, what is that against you*?"
This is the disciple who is testifying about these things, and the one having written these things, and we see that the testimony of his is true.
Yet there are also many other things that* the Iesoús did, the which, if they would be written one by one, I expect not even the world itself to have space for the books being written.*
