The city of Luhbar is well-known for supporting and training troops for the Dwarvic Conglomerate. While this encompassed common enlisted soldiers, it also accounted for many of the most experienced and renowned warriors of the nation. The latter is due to the mysterious and dreaded Luhbar Dungeon.
The Dungeon, which is in fact neither a prison nor a place of torture, is a massive stone ziggurate with many interior floors with complex labyrinthine hallways. According to stories about the facility, it can be reconfigured to a variety of different layouts, set with traps, hazards, and puzzles, and monsters can be let loose. A trainee would be sealed in through the base of the structure, at the widest floor, they would then make their way through the maze, fighting creatures, avoiding traps, and solving puzzles until they made it to the second floor. This would be repeated for each floor as they got smaller but more hazardous. Some people claim that at the top floor would be a particularly dangerous monster, according to some an imprisoned dragon, but once defeated the trainee would emerge from the Dungeon and be awarded a commission in the Dwarvic Conglomerate, a sizeable salary, and a medal signifying their conquest of the Luhbar Dungeon.
Since the fall of the Dwarvic Conglomerate, the Luhbar Dungeon has remained closed to Vorduhrians and foreigners alike. According to officials of the region, the monsters and enchantments inside the Dungeon at the time of the explosion of Dain have become aberrant, deadly, and spring back to life even moments after being killed.
