The Vale of Haeldwynn
The Vale of Haeldwynn is said to have stretched from The ford of Imynn, just south of present Day Ea, nearly 800 miles eastward to Tered-Drol, an ancient watchtower at the westernmost tip of present-day Ibanfall. In Haeldwynn, the first humans of Blimnor learned to work land that burst forth with plenty: Wheat, Barley, and Rye overflowed their stores each year, and each valley's air grew heavy with the smell of honey and ripe fruit. It was here that Humans befriended, tamed, and domesticated the first Cows, Pigs, Sheep, and Dogs. Mild winters and long summers brought both comfort and confidence to the youthful race, and it was not long before roads crisscrossed the golden landscape. Along them villages sprouted, slow but strong, their streets filled with familes, livestock, and travellers. These islands of community grew earnestly into the three first cities of Man: Imynn, Orynn, and Ibanwynn. Imynn was the oldest, and stood on the banks of Orowe, where Elf, Dwarf, and Man first awoke bathed in moon- and starlight. It was home to explorers and merchants, who oft journeyed into the land of Elf and Dwarf. There they traded and learned, and brought both wealth and understanding homeward to their kinspeople, Thus, Imynn also became a haven for storytellers, musicians, and artisans, all eager to hone their craft and bring joy to those around them.
