Kherbon

Kherbon sits at the mouth of the Drythos River and the edge of the Kher Steppes. As such it quite rural by the standards of orc society, with its pastures, farms, and mills. However, since it swears a loose fealty to the Discernants of the Daerydean Cortex, it escapes the standards of Norgiri industry, and is able to subsist on its environment with a minimum of factory smoke. However, the city does live with a certain tension aimed in all directions. To the north, Norgir is jealous of losing a colony so close to their capital, and frequently sends fleets close to the shore to probe for Daerydean reactions. To the south, the rival city of Keffleburg which farms the far more fertile fields of Kefflevale, and the people seem far more eager to endear themselves to the Daeryd administration.
