Daeris

Daeryds disallow many visitors to their city, a sprawling network of daeryd corpses, each fused so that their knowledge may be immortalized. But the wandering magical constructs share disturbing news that their natural cycle of life is becoming less effective with each passing year, and they are searching for answers and a solution.

Daeris is a content that according to legend was raised from the sea floor by the sorcerers of Aeris, and its native daeryds constructed to be servants and caretakers of the land. It is a land of mountains, grass, and some curious forests. In the north, the Daeryds live mostly in the mountains, where the cold climate and isolation help keep their collective consciousness running at its peak efficiency. In the west, some orcish communities have settled across the steppes. While in the fertile Kefflevale fields to the south, communities of humans have taken to agriculture. Nearby, the Synthwood forests are said to be infested with feral daeryds roam, avoiding society and communion with the Cortex.
