Jorbin is one of the few cities to survive the explosion of Dain. As a result has become the new capital of the Vorduhr nation, but the majority of its population having been opposed to the war led by the Dwarvic Conglomerate, has a significantly more peaceful foreign policy. Furthermore, its reliance on lumber industry has cultivated a more harmonous relationship with the ecology of Vorduhr.
Among the most significant events of recent Jorbin has been the commission of a team of Voidwatch officers into the local constabulary, a gesture that is as symbolic as it is necessary, since the Voidwatch organization was one of the strongest armies to fight against Vorduhr.
Jorbin is also remarked by architects as being constructed mostly of wood, which makes it stand out against many other ancestral dwarven cities which prize enduring stone structures. However, this difference in architecture has worked to the cities advantage, allowing it to expand quickly to accommodate the influx of dwarven refugees from other regions, as well as making it easier to rebuilt damaged structures after the blast.
