At the surface above where the subterranean city of Dain exploded is what appears to be a roiling vortex of molten earth, perpetual column of smoke, and constant crackling electrical storm that has lasted for 50 years. The exact nature of the phenomena is difficult to ascertain, as the magic surrounding it is so chaotic and dangerous that no successful expedition has been made. As a result, the few observations that have been made of the crater have been through powerful telescopes.
