Seaxh comes from the Xharadim word Seaxhan, meaning "place of rest". The city is a complex patchwork of apartments and complexes sharing walls with one another, all centered around the Aluin, or "tower of life": a series of pulleys, pipes and hydraulics at the center of the city designed to bring fresh water from the lake beneath the city some 1000 feet up to ground level. As a result, Seaxh has a surprisingly tight footprint, rising to a height of 40 stories of uninterrupted buildings in its center, each built into the other. A tight array of poisoned palisades surround the city, covered by nettings and sand to conceal the traps. This has made the city nigh unconquerable by its more warlike Xharadim neighbors.
Seaxh's size and relative openness to outsiders has yielded a flourishing black market. Spices, poisons, and exotic meats find their way regularly into the city. Thus, many of the third age's most successful merchants have found themselves within the pallisades of Seaxh. Its density, remoteness, and lack of strong legal authority also make Seaxh a desireable locale for those who wish not to be found.
It is said that the only entrance by foot to the sacred lake beneath Seaxh is guarded by one of the last flighted dragons in Blimnor. Blind and insane, it is charged with incinerating any who might try to poison or taint the lifeblood of the city.
