Well north of the Uthwun Bog, Gaarbon's polluted waterways give the impression that the city was constructed in the filthiest morass of the region. In fact, for most of its history, it was considered a relatively beautiful settlement, and rapidly grew to invite new industry. However, as danjabrium industry took off in Norgir, the city quickly succumbed to smog and waste-filled canals. Since then, the population has shifted toward to primarily orcish and goblin, attracted by constant demand for workers and low cost-of-living.
