Grand Admiral of the Wandering Isles Trade Syndicate. A brilliant tactician, this human fought his way to the top of the WITS through a great many sea battles to stamp out piracy and competitors. He is known for his flat affect and lack of humor.

Most influential member of the Cortex Discernants, they are aggressive in their rejection of useless, inaccurate, or offensive information brought to the Cortex.

Deceased King of Ibania. He died with no heirs, and a great many unresolved rivalries between the duchies. His death has sparked a civil war over the succession.

Supachief of the Norgiri Tribal Federation. He is known for his gruffness, bravado, and menacing presence. However rumor speaks of a soft-spoken, compassionate, and personable leader eager to see Norgiri enter the global court of Blimnor.

Tabal of the Grand Taesir Tabalikkar. He is young and impetuous, and has a great deal of enthusiasm for foreign culture and luxuries.

Commissioner of Voidwatch. This old and grizzled elf is dry and pragmatic, and rarely surprised by anything that comes to his desk. He occasionally will visit a case that Voidwatch is investigating, and when he does it is an indication that the situation is dire.

The founder of Perpatax Energy is a shrewd industrialist whose competitive business practices have grown her company into foremost provider of electrical energy.

The founder of Ancestral Rail Co. is appreciated for his honest and transparent company, and it clearly eager to provide affordable railway infrastructure for developing nations .

Queen of the Seelie Court. She is eager to form relations with Blimnorians and open borders between worlds, however she struggles to change her impulsive and feral behaviors to fit Blimnorian standards of propriety.

King of the Unseelie Court. He is contemptuous and suspicious of Blimnorians and endeavors to make Faeland as inhospitable as possible. Dispite his infamy, he has earned a begrudging respect among more cynical Blimnorians.

Head of the Magical Preservation Society. A fitful and nervous daeryd who seems obsessed with mortality, loss of information, and antiquity. The one place he seems comfortable is an auction, high-stakes game of cards, or property dispute, where he almost always wins.

CEO of GlimmerRail Express. After the founder died in a parachuting accident, Grob took the position and became the first goblin CEO. He was already known for his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm as an engineer. Although he is from humble working-class origins, he is considered a natural fit for the company.

She is treated with a mix of respect and fear, and the things she asks in return can be very costly indeed.
