Kdez

The city of Kdez was never a bright or hospitable one, its people jealously preoccupied with exploiting the coast and ocean beyond. Much of the pride and renown of Kdez was the Fyrkdez Deepsea Rig they operated that could drill down to precious materials imbedded in the ocean floor.

While the city itself was largely unaffected by the blast caused by the explosion of Dain, the toxic magic that soon was carrying by Kdez's river brought strange and unpredictable illnesses that have plagued the inhabitants since, making them even more reclusive and hostile toward strangers.

To make matters worse, it is believed that the city's inability to maintain the Deepsea Rig may have resulted in a large number of workers on the ocean floor becoming stranded to suffer a slow and terrifying death.
