The village of Gaskin grips the Eelsmaw tradition of lumber with both hands. While it is a small logging town, the residents come together with log-throwing competitions, tree-felling competitions, and chopping competitions. Women of Gaskin are known to be brawny and hearty, and participate equally in the town's sports. The town's motto is "Beset by Bears and Beavers", though this is confusing since a census conducted by the His Majesty's Rangers does not indicate a particularly large population of either animal in the area.
