Among the most exciting historical discovery of the Fourth Age of Blimnor has been the location of the ancient dead city of Sai, where a great king of the First Age was able to save his people from a great plague.
The Saiologists working at the excavation site are eager to publish their findings, which include many exciting ideas including that the subjects of the city were undead, that the king himself was a benevolent lich, and that what caused the city to become so difficult to discover was no sandstorm, but rather some extraordinary geological event that sank the city beneath the desert.
There are some rumors of curses inflicted on excavation crews, strangers wrapped in ragged bandages wandering at night, and whispered warnings among the shifting sand. But the only confirmed incidents have been a number of accidents that claimed the lives of prominent Saiologists, which can all be explained by unstable architecture, infection, and poor health.
