Once the pristine city of Daeryds, it has since become a destination for all those curious with the curious stoic sentient constructs. Instead it has grown into a crowded city full of people aspiring to be admitted to the Daerydean Cortex for the honor of communicating with the most enlightened Daeryds. However, most such acolytes may pass their entire lifetime in Felithos without ever seeing the Cortex.
Visitors to Felithos are often shocked by the corpses of deceased Daeryds pressed up against the walls, or seemingly desperately gripping the copper pipes that run throughout the architecture. In fact these are part of the daeryd death ritual, in which as they reach the final moments of their life, they connnect to the telegraph network that transmits all the way to the Cortex so they can share their life experience. As their bodies decay, the daeryds become welded to each other, reinforcing the macabre structure.
