HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME.
Holy is your name/hallowed be your name means, that to approach God as your Father does not justify carelessness and behaving any how especially in his presence. We see people today chewing gum in church, seated anyhow, whatsupping in church with no sense of reverence. Some use the name of the Lord in vain at the least opportunity-
The point here is that in as much as he is ABBA Father, do not forget that he is also God - He is the God of the universe, because the danger is that your awareness of his Fatherhood, can make you to now begin to downplay his majesty and might.
Always remember that - even though he is your Father he is still the all-powerful God. It means that in the midst of your excitement, there must be reverence and respect .
Hallowed by your name- implies - that Boldness to approach God is not a license for pride and dishonour.
Appreciating God requires honour -an understanding that he is the God of the universe, and has chosen to be your Father- so while you are grateful for the privilege of fellowship, you should also be aware of his greatness and majesty.
You see eerh this is a principle that not only works - for God- it works for humans too. That regardless the privilege you have in relation to great people- never forget who they are- or who you are talking to. Sometimes we allow familiarity to crop in and we begin to take things for granted.
Under no circumstance should you forget who you are relating too- never forget who you are relating too, sometimes we can be carried away, by the simplicity and the expressions of great and important people to us- but we must find a way of reminding ourselves, that this man;this woman is the director, she/he is my boss, she/he is my boss’ wife- she has only chosen me to eat lunch with me and take me as a friend or a sister or brother- but he/she is my boss.
Exodus 20:7 reads -“ You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name ”
1 Sam 2:30b “ But now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honour me I will honour, but those who despise me will be disdained ”
So as we approach God, we understand that he is abba Father but still the all-powerful and mighty God. True- He loves you so much he can even act like a remote control for you but don't forget he is God, so be careful when you approach his presence, do it with awe and respect. Hallowed be thy name.
In spite of his fatherhood, approach him with reverence, don't trivialize him, even though you approach him with fear of the Lord. We can make a big mistake - because of the revelation of GRACE, you know- sometimes in a bid to instil confidence in people to approach God- we may erode away the healthy reverence for God, and that is danger.
Every time a great person is available there is the temptation to dishonour, It is a weakness in humans- in fact - it is the reason why most great men create intentionally the difficulty to approach them, as a way of reminding you that they did not get to greatness by mistake. So that when they give you access and they study you and realise that your sense of honour or dishonour is dropping, they peg you there and you don't move forward from there.
May be this is a lesson for someone listening, that a door that was once opened for you to access- the atmosphere of greatness was closed against you because of dishonour.
Because a great person gave you unusual access does not give you the license to misbehave.
So stop trivializing God, someone walks to God casually and says- “ I am the righteousness of God in Christ.. I did not ask you to die for me... Now listen carefully am giving you three days to do this or else ”...or else what?
Never allow your reverence for God to erode no matter what, no matter how close you think you are to God, do not ever forget that greatness remains greatness.
Listen, No matter how God bends low to you-even if God comes and is jumping around like a kid, know that he is God. Even with Jesus- once a while you will catch - Jesus warning his disciples- because they were getting too familiar with him. So he will say- Hey be careful- before Abraham was I am. Don't you think that you are 9 years older than me Peter. I know you think all my age mates and two years below were killed, and I don’t have age mates but don't you think we are equal .
Young people listening, let me counsel you. This may be the reason why many great people who once gave you access do not pay attention to you again. They gave you access that even their senior partners do not have and you downplayed it. Then you begin to brag to your friends - " Oh I can call him " , he is my good friend, and then you put this great person on speaker, to show some bragging rights to your friends. Oh that great man, he loves me so much- he will do anything for me.
When this great folks discern that you do not know how to protect and preserve access they will withdraw it. Boldness should not be mistaken and turned into pride and dishonour.
God is the ancient of days. Never be ashamed of going down on your knees or rolling down before him. Hallowed be your name means balancing revelation of his fatherhood with reverence.

Shalom and God bless you.
