1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide and direct you in all of your ways.

MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT- 2.

Guidance and Direction- John 16:13. Isaiah 20:21

“ However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth… ”

Guide you into all truth-Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth? There is a difference between guide and direct- errm, can you please direct me to the mall- oh, turn right, another left, and there you are.. To direct is – move- go- turn right- turn left- I give you the info then you go-

*Guidance is am holding your hands and moving with you, hold my hands- “ be careful move this way, jump this- jump that ”- guide a young man, a young lady, an elderly man who is confused…

I will guide you, Ministry of the Holy Spirit- who is guiding you? Who do you submit to? Guidance means you submit to a leadership- who is leading you? Are you leading yourself?

Samuel heard the voice of God because he was near the ark- many of us did not seek guidance from God- many of us did not seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit before doing what we are doing- did the Holy spirit guide you- into that marriage, that friendship, that purchase, that job, that travel?

Can you wait on the Holy Spirit? - listen to me ooh, if God doesn’t speak don’t move- not every door is opened by God- Satan or your own force can also open doors- the Holy spirit is a master of solitude- learn to wait for the Lord in silence- Some of you hastily married, hastily travelled- entered wrong businesses, wrong friendships and you are paying for it dearly- who is leading you?

Me, Cyril- if God does not speak I ain’t going anywhere- I remember after 9 years of seminary school, I said I didn’t want to be ordained as a Rev minster of the Catholic church, simply put I wasn’t ready- and everyone thought I was crazy- Carnal men and women who couldn’t understand the ways of God were saying things like- so all this 9 years what was he doing in seminary school- if he wasn’t going to be a priest why did he go through the school wasting everybody’s time and keeping our expectations up like this- foolish man as they called me. People were like, what is wrong with that crazy dude, this priesthood that people are yearning for he has it in hands and he is misbehaving- some said don’t mind him- foolish boy, some girl is deceiving him- some even said foolish man- he has gone to impregnate some girl and the girl is threatening him so he does not want to be ordained-

In the middle of all this carnality, when people who knew little about the workings of the Spirit were ranting -only my spirit and the spirit of God knew what was happening. I told myself, until God speaks to me clearly that I should get ordained I am not going anywhere- that I finished seminary school doesn’t mean I should become a priest- what if God sent me to seminary school to prepare me for something else – I said to myself yeah, I accept, am a crazy dude, am crazy for Christ, you all can go burn the sea-

I said to myself- it is my life and I choose what to do with it under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit- I cared-less about what everyone was saying- did I suffer yes I did, the decision brought me pain, I lost a lot of people I thought were friends- but it also thought me something very important about human nature for which am very glad about - people mocked me- some of my own classmates I sat in class with in the seminary for 9 years , who were now priests saw me as a failure and would not want to associate with me- but in all this I preferred to walk with the Holy Spirit than with men. And for a year and half I just forgot about the priesthood and concentrated on my normal life- waited for directions from the Holy Spirit- until God said, Son it is about time- let's move-

... and the Holy Spirit made another way- why do you think we call him way maker.... before people could open their eyes and close it- when they were not expecting it- I had already somersaulted into the priesthood.

It is part of the reason why people cannot understand me, because I evaluate my every move, every single move- of mine by the promptings of the Holy Spirit- because when you walk with the Holy Spirit your world view is different- and if tomorrow the HOLY SPIRIT asks me to leave the priesthood and go into farming I will gladly do it- what did scripture say- the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want- if the Lord is my shepherd then, am a sheep, what do sheep’s do- they follow the shepherd lead and not the other sheep’s - Here me when I say, I ain’t following no sheep, am following the shepherd, that’s the deal. The Psalmist said “ he leads me to quiet pools of fresh waters. He guides me in the right paths- as he has promised- even if I go through the deepest darkness- I will not be afraid, Lord for you are with me- your rod and staff protect me .”

You see when you are in sync with the voice of the Holy Spirit, carnal men and people who walk in the flesh will always think you are crazy- Go into your Bible – Isaiah 20:2-3, there you will see the sign of the naked prophet- “ Three years earlier the Lord had told Isaiah son of Amos to take of his sandals and the sack cloth he was wearing. He obeyed and went about naked and barefoot. When Ashdod was captured, the Lord said , “. My servant Isaiah has been going about naked for three and bare footed for three years. ”

Tell me, who was crazy- the Lord or Isaiah-? If you want to walk with the Holy Spirit eerrh, carnal men and women will see you as weird as crazy or even mad.

Take another example, who was regarded as crazy- John the Baptist- Tell me, who in his normal mind will go and dwell in the wilderness- the wilderness was his house- do you know what a wilderness is? It is the place with a limited chance for survival, and we are told his dress was camel’s hair- do you know how a camel’s hair smells like? His food was locust and wild honey.

Take another example Hosea, how many of you will gladly marry your wife, if I told you before marriage that your partner is going to be unfaithful and behave like a prostitute, will you still go ahead- go and read Hosea 1:2- it is in your bible- what about our master himself- JESUS of Nazareth-his family stepped up to take charge of him because people were saying “ Jesus is gone mad ”-Mark 3:21-

Me if God does not speak the rest of the world can go burn the sea for all I care- I ain’t moving a foot- make I tell you eerrh, I will prefer to follow the Holy Spirit down a dark dusty road than follow the wisest man on a road lit with street lights. And that is one description people give me wherever I go- he is a crazy man- am glad to be crazy for Christ- the world’s wisdom can go to hell- I careless- so should you.

Let’s return to the voice of God ooh- there is a way that seem right- but the end will leave you with pain and regret- the way to that marriage may seem right- that way to travel abroad may seem right, that way to follow that project may seem right- that way to travel may seem right- but the end may leave you with pain and regret- why don’t you follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit- allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct you.

So I put it to you again- who is leading you? Who is guiding you?
