PRAYER INTENTIONS
In thanksgiving for the work and labour of our hands. In thanksgiving for our jobs, employment, business and the things we do that bring us income.
If you are believing God for promotion, business breakthrough, employment- do not ask just begin to thank God for this already.
Remember just GIVE THANKS, no ASKING.
Our Father in Heaven, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love, please look kindly upon us and receive our heartfelt gratitude in this time of giving thanks. We thank you for all the graces and blessings, you have bestowed upon us. We thank you for the spiritual and temporal: for our faith and religious heritage. We thank you for provision of food and shelter, our health, the love we have for one another, for our family and friends. Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, we thank you for the continued graces and blessing you have already granted us throughout the coming year. In the Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Brother we pray. Amen.
Praise is a sacrifice to God, and sacrifice will open doors for you.
Praise is not only a command, but a gift we give to God. It’s a sacrifice of our heart – giving him our best, even when we don’t feel up to it. The more we praise God and give him this gift, the more we’ll be filled with God’s love to share with others.
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased .” Hebrews 13:15-16 (NIV)
Praise Makes Your Troubles Smaller
When life is hard, it’s easy to focus in on all the problems you’re facing. Those challenges begin to loom larger and all you can see are the difficulties you’re facing. When you turn your heart to praising God, those problems begin to shrink. As your eyes focus on God, you’ll find a new perspective on your trials. Troubles are like darkness, Praise is the light that will drive the darkness away.
PRAISE IS A KEY TO INVOKING GOD'S PRESENCE-
Psalm 22:3 reads “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.”
This my dear friends is the key to invoking God's presence, God inhabits the praises, he makes the atmosphere of praise his dwelling place. The atmosphere of praise is his dwelling place. He inhabits the praise, when you praise God in spite of what is happening in your life- you compel his presence and will God show up, no doubt he is drawn into the atmosphere of praises like a magnet to a metal. You compel his presence when you praise and give thanks, and anytime God shows up there is always a solution, so rather than complaining you should magnetize the presence of his majesty as you praise him, rather than complaining- praise
Angels and the saints in heaven consistently behold the presence of God and praise him, they have a perfect environment free from all the nonsenses we see here- So when the heavens see a believer in our imperfect dimensions with all of the negativities praising God- despite everything- that's the sacrifice- it brings down the heavenly atmosphere.
Let me begin to show you the protocol to entering God's presence. Take a look at the protocol to enter into Gods presence- you can find that in Psalm 100-
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Enter Gods gates with what? THANKSGIVING - you can decide to stop at the GATE..
... but if you want to enter into Gods COURT, and the court is where all the action happens ooh, where all the spiritual goodies are distributed- what is the protocol- PRAISE- PRAISE- not money—not money ooh-Praise- that is what gives you access.
Sometimes we treat God like he is a seller and we are buyers. So we have come to bribe God with our money and seeds and offerings. Don’t get me wrong, there is a place for offering and seeds, even that, we don’t understand those mysteries so we don’t benefit fully from them-
Come before Him singing, not with grumbling/ complaining, if only we will give thanks. Look at our mother's - they always have one thanksgiving song or the other that they sing, if they don't know the words they will ham it- go to our villages- Mama is working and singing joyfully and dancing to some- thanksgiving tunes-
Look am not talking about this our modern crop of mothers who want to play –Shattawale or Opanka while they do house chores- am talking about those - mothers who know life is essentially spiritual- “Lord you are so good ”- and they are singing-and things are happening in the spirit realms- just with the power of praises-
Praise is a mystery that turns impossible situations into victories, it is a spiritual technology that can turn away the captivity of a man's life.
Praise Makes Miracles Possible Do you need a miracle? Do your problems seem bigger than any earthly solution? How about praising God? Let me tell you eerh, when troubles begin to surround you, look for ways to focus your thoughts and actions on praise and thanksgiving.
Allow God to work his wonders through your testimony of praise through the storm. Paul and Silas found themselves in some serious trouble once upon a time- They did not complain, grumble, become bitter- they began to pray, singing hymns and praise- at midnight-and am sure the other prisoners thought this dudes are crazy- what is there to sing about this situation-but when deliverance came, everyone in that prison was delivered, including those unbelievers- some of you are in various prisons, prisons of sickness, bad habits, etc… just praise your way out..
let me read it for you-
“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.”- Acts 16:25-26 (NIV)
