Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasure of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to your holy will which is love and mercy itself. Amen

Let's continue from where we left off yersterday - Jesus died with our sins, so he went to Hell. He went to hell it is in your Bible, he descended into Hell.

Can you imagine, the excitement among the demons, God in hell. For a moment Satan still ignorant thought he was winning. So - all kinds of excitement, all of a sudden Jesus shows up in Hell. God in Hell- in all the compartment of Hell hades place of the dead.

1Peter 4:5-6, will say- “For this is the reason, the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit. ”

Why was Jesus there? I will tell you soon. Firstly - Jesus went there to preach the gospel to them - when Jesus got there- Satan looked and that was when he realized this was SECOND ADAM - coming to collect back the KEYS he took from the first Adam. The keys and the POWERS that he Satan was boasting about- at the temptation of Jesus- that he had all the power and authority over earth-, had to be handed over. Jesus said oya, give me the keys now... Hand the dominion over... The keys that Jesus will now handover to Peter after the RESURRECTION, the keys which he promised will be given Peter when he instituted him as the rock on which the church was going to be built.

All the cohorts of Hell were trying to stop him, but God saw the travail of his son- and justice was made very powerfully. So- Jesus shook them, making a public spectacle of them. St Paul saw this in a vision so he wrote in Colossians 2:15 "When he had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, he shamed them publicly by his victory on the cross"

All this drama happened in hell ooh. So that's the second reason to collect the keys of dominion Satan took from our first Parents. Jesus went to Satan himself and said give me the keys Adam gave you in the garden of Eden- give it to me – hand them over- and yah that's what happened.

This was the Revelation Paul saw when he said “In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross”- Colossians 2:15-

You remember he told his disciples that “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” – Matthew 16:19- if I say I will give you something- it is futuristic- so Jesus now had the keys, that he will give to the disciples after the Resurrection- and he gave it to them when he breathed on them after the resurrection and said- in John 20:23 “Whoever's sins you forgive, they are forgiven them ”. ... He had said this, He breathed on them and said,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.

The authority that Satan was boasting about at the temptations narrative, Jesus took all back, He TOOK all back- so you and I have power ooh. We are powerfully powerful beyond measure, because of what Christ did for us.-

Revelation 1:17-18 will say “When I saw Jesus, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said : “ Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”- where did he get the keys he got back from Satan it in hell.

Give that keys of DOMINION that gave you access over the earth to me because until Jesus died and collected it, Satan was the god of this system- Legally that’s why Satan took Jesus to a mountain and showed him the riches of the earth and said all these are mine to give to whoever I please - note that Jesus never argued with Satan, because Satan was not lying... All this glory I will give to you if only you will bow. Because it has been giving to me. Given to me by who? Adam... He was mocking Jesus. Adam gave it to me.

Jesus said to himself- no problem it is just a matter of time, I will strip you of what you collected, and this was what happened when Jesus descended into Hell. He went to the hell prison and brought into fruition the prophecy in Isaiah 61 which says-

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”

Don’t forget that Jesus himself, before he started ministry made known his manifesto in Luke 4:16-20

“16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read , 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: “ The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor .”

Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” – I prophesy into your life- your deliverance is here-

So Jesus opened the prison gate to those who were bound - the Bible said at that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split. The tombs broke open, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. After Jesus’ resurrection, when they had come out of the tombs, they entered the holy city and appeared to many people. Matthew 27:51-52.

Now Satan is pretending he still has dominion, and he is using our ignorance, am here to tell you, Satan was dethroned- and we are back in control, we have dominion- but we need understanding as to how the things of the spirit work, to know the enemy is to win a thousand battles.

We have power ooh, but what has happened to us, because of our lack of spiritual zeal and to search scriptures for ourselves and grow spiritually, the devil has bound us in our ignorance...
