STOP LISTENING TO ACCUSING VOICES - PART 1
If you really want a ReBirth you have to stop listening to ACCUSING VOICES. There's a voice that cries like John the Baptist in the wilderness, " Repent from your sins, the kingdom of God is at hand ".
Then there's another voice that is constantly nagging at us. This voice ACCUSES us with constant guilt daily in our heads and before God. That voice is known as the accusing voice.
The accuser is one who seeks to uphold his or her influence among humans by bringing up false, inaccurate, sins already forgiven or inconsistent charges against Christian's with the view of weakening their influence demanding they be punished.
If you truly want to become a better you, it is imperative that you learn to feel good about yourself. Too many people live under CONDEMNATION, constantly listening to the WRONG VOICES. The Bible refers to the enemy as " the accuser of the brethren ", (Revelation 12:10) who would love for us to live our lives in constant guilt and condemnation. He constantly brings accusations against us telling us what we didn't do or what we should have done. As result people walk around feeling guilty condemned and extremely discontented with themselves. They go through the DAY, through life without joy, without confidence, expecting the worst and often receiving it.
Listen up, am not giving you the license to go and sin, that said, that fact is that no human is perfect, we've all sinned, failed and made mistakes. But many people don't know they can receive and walk in God's mercy and forgiveness. Instead, they allow themselves to be beaten up on the inside. They tune in to that voice telling them, " You blew it, You messed up ". They are so hard on themselves.
Instead of believing that they are growing and improving, they believe that voice telling them there is no hope for them. As a result, they become extremely critical toward themselves and that usually spills over to other people as well.
If we're going to live in peace with ourselves, we must learn to put our foot down and say, " I may not be perfect, but I know I'm growing. I may have made mistakes, but I know I am forgiven. I have received God's mercy ."
That is what it means when we talk about sin, the objective is for us to repent and move on. As long as you're doing your best and desire to do what's right according to God's word, you can be assured God is pleased with you.
When our human foibles and imperfections poke through our idealism, it's normal to get down on ourselves. After all we tend to think, we don't deserve to be happy; we have to prove that we're really sorry. But no, we should learn to receive God's forgiveness and mercy. Your tendency to think you cannot be forgiven is PRIDE and is itself a serious sin, more serious than that sin you committed.
If you think God cannot forgive you, it means you are doubting the forgiveness dimension of the minustry of the Holy Spirit. Don't allow those condemning voices to play repeatedly in your mind. That will only accentuate a negative attitude toward yourself and if you have a bad attitude toward you, it will hinder every area of your life.
As long as we're doing our best, we don't have to live condemned. Even when we make mistakes or fail, there's a time to REPENT, but there's also time to shake it off and press forward.
So my advice, Don't live with regrets. What's done is done, so pick up the pieces and move on, and quit condemning yourself. Your analysis and observations may be true, but it doesn't do you any good to put yourself down. Let the past be the past so you can get the strength you need to live this day in victory.
The apostle Paul once said, " The things I know I should do, I don't. The things I know I shouldn't do, I end up doing ." Even this great man of God who wrote half of the New Testament struggles in this regard. That tells me God does not disqualify you merely because you don't perform perfectly, 100 percent of the time. Like anyone else, you too have weaknesses.
Sometimes you make mistakes or wrong choices, but you have to learn not to beat yourself up over those things. Don't wallow in condemnation; refuse to listen to the accusing voice. Know that God is still working on you that you are growing, learning and becoming a better you.
When we have that kind of attitude, we take away the lethal power of the accuser. He can't control us when we don't believe his lies...
