🔥THE GIFT OF WISDOM🔥

Spirit of God help our weakness, let us be communicators of the Spirit of life, and bring blessings, breakthrough and healing to your children - Amen.

Wisdom is the first and highest gifts of the Holy Spirit. It makes the soul responsive to God in the contemplation of Divine things. The Old Testament is chockablock with exhortations to “‘ Get Wisdom, get understanding!’ … Do not forsake her, and she will keep you, love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight ” (Proverbs 4:5-7)

Wisdom is the ability to supernaturally provide solutions to situations, problems and challenges that are beyond your current level of education, exposure, physical maturity and experience.

When you sustain an ability in the spirit to communicate DIVINE IDEAS and SOLUTIONS to HUMAN PROBLEMS, problems that defy your current level of exposure- you have successfully accessed the supernatural illumination of wisdom.

You need it (many people have downplayed this particular gift of the spirit, because in our thinking we feel it’s not charismatic. This is one of the apex of the apostolic ministry, not even power gifts like (Faith, Healing gifts and working miracles) can compare, because you need wisdom to operate the power gifts.

Jesus manifested wisdom in John 8:1-11, the woman caught in adultery. Their goal was to pin Jesus. You see eerrh, you need this gift because this world is full of wicked men and women, who will look for you, to pin you down, destroy you, your family, your work/business, and you need the gift of wisdom. So back to the story- they said Jesus, you claim you are a Rabbi, Prophet Jesus, here is the test, we caught this woman in adultery in the very act. Then they quoted Moses, “ according to the law, Moses commanded that such a woman must be stoned to death ”. Now Jesus what say you?

Do you know why they quoted Moses? Because if you are a Rabbi, or Prophet, you must acknowledge all the previous prophets before you and one of the ways is by agreeing to what the earlier prophets said, this is what pushed Jesus to say in Matthew 5:17, " Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them ” So it was a trick question- if Jesus rejected Moses’ teaching they would say he is a fake prophet and if he said stone her, they will say you have been preaching love now you say we should stone her.

Obviously they thought they had trapped Jesus, cause either YES or NO, he was trapped. Jesus needed wisdom to get outta this one. See eerh, don’t be quick to provide answers to questions ooh, we have a whole lot of people with trick questions out there …

Like Jesus you will face situations in your life where a YES/NO will put you in trouble. You need to tap into this WISDOM dimensions- for instance some people have vowed that because of tribalism they will drive you out of your job- your immediate boss says something and your CEO also says another, now you are in a fix. You don’t need education, you need wisdom, you obey your immediate boss and the CEO will sack both you and your immediate boss. You obey your CEO and your immediate boss will frustrate you in your work cell. You will get into such dicey situations and you will need wisdom.

May God help us to think like Christ, Oh Lord, permit these minds listening to me to think like Christ, Married people need it, single people need it, Business people need it, every leader needs it, every family member needs it, and everybody needs it- WISDOM.

Fast-forward, Jesus kept writing in the sand, the HOLY Spirit was moving him, the fountain of WISDOM kept moving him, then he lifted his head and spoke wisdom , he found the golden mean between YES and NO, He said “ He who does not have sin should cast the first stone ” . Jesus manifested wisdom, wisdom at its peak.

How many times has life not outwitted us because we lacked the wisdom to discern the times? An opportunity that could have honoured you destroys you because you lacked wisdom.

Imagine the foolish decisions our loved ones have taken, the foolish ones we have taken ourselves, full Christians, baptised, confirmed, born again, because we did not allow the possibilities of the gift of Wisdom find expression in our lives. You need the gift of wisdom in your life, listen to me when I tell you, your knowledge is limited, your education limited, your experience is limited, you cannot wait to respond to life based on your experiences and exposure, you will need grace and wisdom.

LET’S PRAY

Lord we are tired of foolish decisions, we access wisdom by the power of the Holy Spirit, and our lives are full of challenges that need to be surmounted. Lord we need a dimension, that of wisdom, wisdom from above, wisdom more than our age, experience and intellect. Lord, many of us have challenges, personal, health, financially, mentally, administratively, we need wisdom. We need this grace of wisdom. Should we get a job, move into a particular area, enter into a relationship, sign a contract, Lord we need wisdom in our daily dealings. Lord we know you have a supply of intelligence that is above our realms, grant us the spirit of wisdom. Spirit of the living God, we open up to you- our destiny is at the mercy of your wisdom- speak to us, we tired of piercing ourselves again and again with needless sorrows- Lord bail us out of the vicissitudes of life with Wisdom. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen

Look, there are some mistakes in life you will not get a second chance ooh, so pray for wisdom. Don’t be hasty to provide answers, to questions, pray for wisdom, you need the spirit of wisdom to learn what to say. Some of you are in places where you shouldn’t be, and you are paying for it because you didn’t ask for wisdom.

Pray for this gift, you need it.
