PRAYER INTENTIONS
In thanksgiving to God for all his graces, revelation, blessings, mercies and knowledge bestowed upon us.
Once again Christmas is HERE. We thank God for the gift of his only BEGOTTEN SON JESUS the CHRIST.
My heartfelt gratitude goes out to you all, God bless you all for the effort you make to listen to Gods’ word coming through me- his humble servant. Some of you also forward and share this impactful messages- God bless you all; and for those who have constantly supported us- I want you to know I do offer daily prayers for you, for without you our work would be pointless, even impossible.
A BIG thank you to you for the encouragements, criticisms and suggestions. Thank YOU, GOD will continue to bless, protect and keep you.
As we round up for the year- I will like you to know that God has been good, December 29th, the walk with God movement will be 3 years. I will like to thank Kingsley Baah who does a good job bringing the materials together after I have broadcasted so we can get the e-books. I will also like to thank our you tube manager Christopher. Two other great guys Frederick Sedor and Roland- I haven't met them before but they help a lot. Frederick developed the library for the walk with God and together with Roland they created a website. I will share all of that on the birthday of the movement.
Now I can't go without giving you a 🤶 message- 😂here we go💃🏾
I must state for the record that the first Christmas was not filled with all the excitement and wonderment we attach to it now. We appreciate it now because we have the full story from the birth of Jesus to his resurrection. It was however very tough for the people who were directly involved in the circumstances leading to the birthing of Christ our Savior.
The young teenage mother Mary, the older husband to be- Joseph, King Herod, the Shepherds, the inn keepers, the Wise men, etc- it was very tough back in the day for this folks-
But despite the times- Mary and Joseph did not allow controversy to stop them, they moved forward in the midst of controversy - don't wait for the controversy to stop for your movement to start, move in the midst of controversy, problems, and challenges, that is how we make progress in this kingdom.
I strongly believe that we must move beyond just discussing the birth of Jesus Christ from the histo-socio-cultural perspective as wonderful as it may be, and extract from this one in a life time historical event some contemporary spirit filled words of wisdom and lessons that we can learn from all the characters that were involved in the first Christmas story; Wisdom and lessons that we can use to face the challenges we encounter today.
It’s so easy to forget the purpose of the birth of Christ. The birth of Christ is highly and ESSENTIALLY SPIRITUALY he came to restore our lost manual- DON'T ever forget THAT- you know around this time of year we have so many things that can get in the way: commercialism, traditions, even family and church commitments.
To find the real purpose of Christmas, you have to fast forward from the shepherds, the wise men, and the dirty stable. We have to go to a statement Jesus made during his adult years about why he came: “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost ” (Luke 19:10 NIV).
The reason we celebrate Christmas is because Jesus came to Earth to seek and save the lost and restore our MANUAL.- it is as simple but as complicated as that. It presupposes that- being disconnected from God has vast, devastating, and eternal consequences. The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost, so if you’re living disconnected from God, don’t wait- connect with him today.
As we climax and end this season, I will like to re-echo the words of my all-time favorite and role model St. Francis of Assisi- " Preach the gospel at all times and when necessary use words "-
As Christmas is here and as we zoom into future with Hope- let us get down to the simplistic messages that Christ taught namely “ love the Lord your God with all you might, mind and your soul and love your neighbor as yourself. ” It’s all about LOVE. Christ never saw a sanctuary like we see today in our contemporary society and our fidelity cannot be to our structures, denominations, organizations, but our fidelity must be to the word of God, the core gospel values and the propelling of the message of Love, Mercy, forgiveness, hope and Peace.
Once our fidelity is to the Word of God, then our structures, denominations and organizations will fall in line with God's will.
It is my hope, my prayer and my desire that we will become more LOVING. We cannot change the world at once but we can each brighten the corner where we at and like lit candles all over, we will drive darkness away.
We have really worked hard since the beginning of the year, it is time to slow down, evaluate the year, take a break and go into the wilderness to seek God’s face for the next season, while you eat your chicken remember we will be at the backside of the wilderness watching 😉.
Let's position ourselves for new horizons, new paths, new discoveries, new levels, new blessings, new perspectives in this faith journey. I believe God will continue to bless you, continue to open and activate your spiritual senses, grant you valuable insights as we journey together in this our WALK WITH GOD.
Permit me to end with another quote from my all-time favorite saint -" We have been called to heal wounds, to unite what has fallen apart and to bring back home to God those who have lost their way " - St. Francis of Assisi.
On behalf of my superiors- GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit, on behalf of myself; on behalf of the underground movement and since the eighties crews; and on behalf of MONK REFLECTIONS- I wish you a spirit filled Christmas and fruitful and wonderful new year.
Till we meet at the other side- sometime, someday--am out Shalom and God bless you.
