“ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing. ” – John 15:4-5
THE LAW OF THE MIND - 4
The KEY to every BREAKTHROUGH.
I need to bring to your notice that normally when we are on a long fast and prayer like 40days you need to have one day break once a week, this is to allow the body to rest then you pick it up again. On that note, all the SUNDAYS during the period of the forty days are OFF -DAYS. You are expected to eat well and rest well and gather energy for the next fasting and prayer days-MONDAY-SATURDAY. So SUNDAYS are OFF-DAYS for fasting and other activities, we will continue the count down and activities from Monday. It is also to give you the opportunity to review on your own things learnt during the previous week.
Now let's zoom into today's message. As believers, we understand that the spiritual controls the physical and until you take care of the spiritual, the physical is not in view. These reflections about the strongman in this ReBirth conference is to enable you to take care of the spiritual so as to pave way for you to succeed in the physical.
Let no one deceive you, every PROBLEM has a SOLUTION, no matter what the strongman is, as you partake in this ReBirth Conference with all seriousness, you shall be free of them in Jesus name and the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Gospels are relevant because they showcase the victory that Jesus Christ, through his lifelong obedience, won on our behalf. The victory he won back then still has cosmic and personal consequences that affect us right now.
In Mark 3 we see that Jesus’s mission is under attack. After announcing the coming of God’s kingdom (Mark 1:14–15), he begins to heal the sick, cast out demons, teach with authority, calls his disciples, and forgives sin. But not everyone is happy with him. In Mark 3:22–30 the scribes challenge the source of Jesus’s authority, claiming it comes from Beelzebub, the prince of demons (Satan).
In response, Jesus points out that his attacks on the kingdom of Satan invalidate the accusation that he’s working with Satan. Jesus says he came to bind the strong man (that is, Satan and his agents) in order that he himself, as the STRONGER MAN (cf. Mark 1:7), might plunder Satan’s house. This is Jesus’s own explanation of the events we encounter in Mark 1–3.
Sometimes the demonic assault you are battling seems to have no end. Are you physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausted? Even worse, no matter how much you fast, pray, rebuke, or intercede… nothing seems to break open or move, so that at the end of the day you are still sick, in pain, worn out, problems get worse by the day and you are overwhelmed. What are we missing?
The Bible refers to Satan and his high-ranking officers as strongmen, however the key to overcoming their attacks is for us to become STRONGER in our SOUL.
STRONGER IN THE SOUL- that’s the key to breakthrough. You need to PURSUE becoming STRONGER in your SOUL, and then you will be able to cast him out and ransack his entire house!
So it’s about time you went to work immediately, but this time instead of rebuking and binding the enemy, begin to spend EXTENDED PERIODS of time WORSHIPPING the LORD and being in His PRESENCE. The Gospel of John says: “ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing. ” – John 15:4-5
Our CONNECTION to CHRIST is absolutely vital, if we are to win this battle. In this passage, Jesus Himself tells us that fruit of breakthrough and victory is the result of “ abiding ” or pressing into this relationship. Abiding must be an everyday thing. During these times of prayer, worship, and soaking, ask the Lord to heal your soul of anything that you have in common with the demonic strongman.
Ask God to heal you of anything that gave the enemy the right to attack your life, and as you remain in the secret place, the Lord will do just that. He will strengthened your soul, the Holy Spirit will cast the enemy out.
According to Jesus, the kingdom of darkness operates just like an army. It has different ranking demons, and some of them possess a greater measure of power and authority than others. Jesus called the superior-ranking spirits strongmen.
Typically, we spend the majority of our time in spiritual battle against the lower-ranking demons in the dark kingdom. Yet, even though we have the authority through the name of Jesus and the power in the BLOOD of JESUS to cast these inferior ranks out, many times they stubbornly refuse to yield. Why does that happen?
Here are a couple of reasons for you to contemplate: First, Jesus said in Matthew 12:29 that if you want to thoroughly ransack the strongman’s house, you must first bind the strongman. In order to get rid of every lesser spirit that is causing you sickness, problem and torment, you must first bind the strongman that is over them. You see, we have been conducting our warfare in the wrong order, working our way up the ranks. Instead, we need to start at the top and work our way down. Once the top dog is on the leash, the rest of the pack will easily go into the cage.
This truth of what am saying can be seen in the story of David and Goliath. In this epic tale, Goliath says something that proves when you bind the strongman, the rest of the army underneath him will easily submit to you. Read this statement from Goliath, as he challenged the armies of God: “ Choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we (meaning me and my army) will be your servants …” (1 Samuel 17:8-9).
Goliath was the strongman over the Philistines. Here, he admits that if he were defeated, then the Philistine army would have to submit to Israel, and that is exactly what happened. David slung a stone at the GOLIATH-Philistine, which sunk into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. Then David raced over to the giant, grabbed his sword, and removed his head. The removal of Goliath’s head symbolized the removal of his headship over the Philistine army. When that happened, the Bible tells us what took place next: “ When the Philistines saw that their mighty champion was dead, they fled ,” (Samuel 17:51).
When the Philistine army saw that their champion was dead, they didn’t rise up and say, “ Let’s kick some Israelite !” No, they did exactly what Goliath said they would do. When they saw that their champion was dead and their covering was gone, they fled, WITHOUT A FIGHT!
And the way out is to intentionally, consciously and deliberately spend EXTENDED PERIODS of time WORSHIPPING the LORD and being in His PRESENCE.
