"Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation-but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live ." - Romans 8:12-13

PRAYER INTENTIONS

We pray for grace to live according to the Spirit and not the flesh.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasure of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to your holy will which is love and mercy itself. Amen

This dimension of the flesh affects us all. By the grace of God I know a number of us have given our life to Christ.

A Stronghold in our minds and it is fortified by the presence of demon spirits motivated by self-centeredness, vain glory, and self-exultation that is what the Bible calls the FLESH. So when the bible speaks of the FLESH within the context of a believer he is talking of a stronghold that is present - not in your spirit - a stronghold present in your mind, within the realm of the mind.

Self centredness as opposed to CHRIST CENTREDNESS - motivated by vain glory and self exultation - this is why the bible says that in the flesh there is no good thing. Whoever entertains it- it will control and govern the person’s life. The result is already determined. No matter the deliverance – no matter the gallons of anointing oil- no matter how much you pray and fast, - no matter what you do- no matter the impartation- if this nature is left unattended to -then Paul already gives you your FATE-DEATH, are you seeing the reason why many deliverance ministries exists- and it looks like it is an endless trouble of attempting to do something..

See eerh, you can pray dry, you can do all kinds of whatever and find out that forever you are casting spirits like an endless journey. This is it and Satan knows, He does not mind entertaining you in your deliverance session as long as he finds out that this subject of the FLESH is unattended to. He will flatter you into thinking you alright- whereas the major issue have not been dealt with namely a stronghold.

And Satan has taken advantage of the church because we have been taught that a believer cannot be possessed that is true - but possession is not the only way spirits participate in your life – spirits can also participate in your life because of the issue of the FLESH. We have allowed Satan to mess up our understanding -the construction of our believe system and all of a sudden you find out that although you know the life of God is in your spirit, you soul and mind are helpless to the devil to the point that it even looks like your salvation is a lie.

The FLESH, the Bible tells us what to do with the flesh... Galatians 5:16-17. Colossians 3:12. The Remedy is to walk in the SPIRIT- - walk ye in the spirit... He is saying you must find a way -whatever this is walk ye in the spirit and you will not fulfil the lust of the FLESH.

For the flesh lusted against the spirit- flesh will look for everything the spirit of God has asked you to do and that is what it fights. The assignment of the flesh is to cause you to consistently violate the ways of the Holy Spirit and if you are spirit controlled- you will find yourself fighting the attributes of the flesh. This are contrary to each other. In any case you are not just allowed to do what you want to. There has to be one of them active in your life. So, you are under conflict - today you are this and tomorrow you are that- and Paul is saying this vacillation is a result of a war, the war is an attempt by the flesh or spirit to gain dominance over your life- that you feel so prayerful today and tomorrow you feel like not praying.

Paul is saying it is not your fault- Am explaining to you. To the point where you are saying you won’t do this again- but find yourself doing it- another agency is in charge and you are only executing what the other agency has planted in you -THE FLESH. People talk so much about the power of God- people talk so much about freedom- yet they never talk about FLESH- so Satan does not mind your fasting, he does not mind our prayers because he knows that- that stronghold the flesh is there- and what a joy to Satan when he finds out, your FLESH is active.

Paul is now buttressing what he means by walking in the SPIRIT- seek those things which are above - where Christ seated at right hand of the Father. Search your mind, your affection, your divinity, your desire, your longing - set it to make your affection, your divinity, your desire, longing - set it to make sure it is focused on the things above and not the things that are of the earth. - let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom -constructed in a way that profits you- construction of the word of God in search a way and manner- that word- is done in wisdom- whatsoever you do in word or deed. Do it in the name of Jesus Christ.

Listen no matter how much prayer, fasting, impartation, anointing or casting of a demon- if that person has made up his mind to be carnal and fleshly and has not set the mind on spiritual things- I hate to be a bearer of bed news, but you only succeeded in wasting your time.

I give you a guarantee - Satan has infinite ways of returning to that person, no matter the deliverance- when a spirit leaves a man, it doesn't go away forever- even Satan left Jesus for a while- he came back later to find out Jesus- my guy, he asked.. have you been discouraged so far- I left you when you were about to start ministering - if Satan left Jesus for a while whatever makes you think - that he left you completely - he is waiting for you- at the corner of discouragement - waiting for you. When your money finishes- waiting for you- where you have a bad dream, waiting for you- when you fall sick- waiting for you when you get into crisis- waiting for you, when you have a bad news or where you lost a loved one.

-Here he comes again because he knows this things have a way of trying to bring us down. So - Walk ye in the SPIRIT. - Powerful formula. The flesh, the mistake that we make that we are trying to make a correction - there is a difference - transformation happens in the realms of the mind, but transformation is spiritual- it is a miracle - let's not reduce transformation to scientology where we say put formula A and B to it. Spiritual Principles are not just scientific formula- spiritual principles are spiritual laws that are backed up with the very presence and power of God.

Laws on their own do not drive spirits. Transformation is a powerful miracle. So in this dimension- one needs to be delivered from the spirit entities that guard the stronghold.
