PRAYER INTENTIONS

Think hard, reflect and make a list of all the negative patterns you can think of that is affecting you and your family. Begin to surround it with the Blood of Jesus and the fire of the Holy Spirit everyday through the conference.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasure of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to your holy will which is love and mercy itself. Amen

Now stick with me as we examine the patterns in the life of the following using scripture as our basis. …the problem with Abrahams Father - TERAH was that when he laid his hands on something, he will begin well but will never bring it to completion, he lacked the GRACE OF CONTINUITY and COMPLETION. In order words, he started things and couldn't finish them. Abraham's father TERAH – was plagued with the spell of starting without finishing.

Furthermore, If you check Genesis 11:10-26, you would see clearly that Abraham came from the descendants of Shem and not Ham. You will also see that every one of his ancestors gave birth in their thirties, but Terah who was Abraham's dad couldn’t give birth till in his 70's. So what happened? What did Terah do wrong that in his own case when it came to giving birth was different from his ancestors? Why does he get delayed 40 more years? And then the pattern began. And Abraham himself will not have a child until in His nineties (90).

So some of you may have very good marriages and you are wondering why the story of your children are different, or some aspect of your life worked so well, but the same aspect is not working well in your children's life or that of your children’s children. My people there is an old story-.

Listen up, someone stood in the gap for you to enjoy what you are enjoying now - but what most of us do is that we focus on the enjoyment and continue building without standing in the gap and fighting for the future generations. As for Abraham’s brother Nahor- He was alive but with no relevance, like the way, some of our relatives have no purpose and relevance. As for Haran, who happened to be the father of Lot, He died before his father Terah – dying before his time.

Therefore- God looking at this negative spiritual climate told Abraham- to get out of his country in Genesis 12:1-3.

Do YOU now understand why Abraham was now asked to get out of his hometown - sometimes, to fix you- God will have to take you out?

Three things that kept recurring in the life of Abraham's extended family

1. Starting without finishing. (Grace of accomplishment and establishment was absent)

2. Dying before due time - (premature death)

3. Living without relevance –

So, God brought Abraham out – he said to him- come out, and everything that affected your father's house will not affect you- if you do as I say. Abraham’s family had negative patterns which God brought him out of and that is what God is saying to you too, that he wants you out. This is His will for your life, he wants you out… - in the name of Jesus you are coming out. Amen!

However, you should note that even though Abraham had come out - certain things still affected his immediate lineage. Some of the things still followed him, because of certain doors he opened himself, LYING is one of them. At least twice, he lied that his wife was his sister and the son Isaac will also tell the same lie about his wife Rebecca, that Rebecca was his sister (Genesis 26:7). Generational lying then began oooh …; we as humans think we can do things and get away with it. God is merciful but He is also just ooh. Let us be careful, actions have consequences.

Moving forward, Rebecca will also lie and help Jacob to steal Esau’s blessings (Genesis 27). And Jacob the liar will be lied to by Laban his uncle and be deceived for more than 14 years (Genesis 29).

Also like I mentioned earlier, there was a pattern when it came to childbearing. Abraham's father gave birth in his 70's unlike his ancestors who put to birth in their thirties, Abraham at 75 was still without a child, till he gave birth to his firstborn Ishmael with a slave girl.

Isaac's wife Rebecca- was also barren before God intervened, Isaac was 40 years (Genesis 25:20) when he got married. Fast forward at 60 years, that is after 20 years of marriage that was when his children were born (Genesis 25:26b)-

Jacob’s wife Leah was barren before God intervened. Rachel remained barren till a later date, - (Genesis 29 & 30) - a lot was going on in the lineage.

There was also the problem of firstborn irrelevance, even after Abraham was delivered from some of his extended family negative patterns, Abraham himself developed another pattern by not waiting on God and sleeping with his servant girl.

There was the problem of firstborn blessing denial, Abraham's firstborn was Ishmael, he was denied the firstborn blessing or inheritance and Isaac the second-born rather took it. ...And the descendants of Ishmael have always hated those of Isaac since then.

Isaac's firstborn was Esau, he also missed the firstborn blessing or inheritance. The blessing went to Jacob - (Genesis 27).

As for Jacob's firstborn, Reuben; He was such a useless boy. He even raped one of his father's wives (concubine) (Genesis 35:22). And the wrath of Deuteronomy 27:20- "_cursed is the one who sleeps with his father's wife_" came upon him. REUBEN thereby opened another door of negative patterns. The same way some of you have opened doors of negative patterns as a result of your actions, we think we can do kinds of stuff and get away with it. You may think you are happy and smart today but hear me when I tell you it is just a matter of time - the programming will catch up with you.

Sometimes people think they are smart, they come to me with an issue, that they need help with, and they present the nice stuff, meanwhile they don't know the Holy Spirit already has given me the details of their stories, but since they omit the things they have done, and present themselves like they are victims, I also keep quiet and watch them. You want help and you cannot even be sincere with yourself and God...

As a result of Ruben's actions especially, this time the blessing bypassed all the 10 sons of Jacob and went down to the number 11 - Joseph. So as blessed as they were; there were still some challenges here and there they had to struggle with.

Another thing that run through the family was that they struggled for what was their own -Abraham wrestled with the people of Sodom for his property. Isaac wrestled for the wealth of his father, Jacob struggle for his salary from his uncle, Laban changed his salary 10 times.

This was happening in the lineage until one day he Jacob said all this nonsense must stop. These negative patterns must end. So in Genesis 32:22-32, when he encountered the Lord, he said I will not let you go until you bless me - and from his next-generation forward -the THING, the negative pattern broke. What his family experienced - nobody experienced again. We never heard of any person barren – struggling unnecessarily, we never heard of firstborn irrelevance anymore as far as the direct lineage was concerned. When it was Joseph's time, both his children Ephraim and Manasseh were blessed equally. God is about to use you to terminate the negative trends in your FAMILY. Will you allow YOU- to stand in THE GAP?

Tell God you won't let him go till he breaks you out of the negative patterns and blesses you through this conference. As you confess these prophetic words be sincere with God and come clean.

PROPHESY - In the name of JESUS CHRIST , by the power in his BLOOD that was poured on Calvary, tapping into the ministry of the HOLY SPIRIT everything that is negative in your life - from you forward it shall stop, it is arrested and you are the one God will use to arrest the negative pattern, it stops with you. Pray it... “Every negative thing in my family, in my lineage, it stops now”.
