Sin will always result in death- or the things we associate with death like sickness, sorrow, trouble, TEARS, challenges, negativity, etc. It may be sweet or pleasurable for some time- the bible talks about the “ pleasures of sin ” for a reason- but eventually it will turn bitter - just give it time.

Repent and believe in the gospel

LAW OF SIN AND DEATH & THE LAW OF LIFE and BLESSINGS-3

Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. - Romans 8:2-6

In this verse of scripture- the bible mentions two laws, namely the law of the spirit of life and the law of sin and death.

Let us conclude our discussions on this laws.

The LAW OF THE SPIRIT of LIFE simply states that whenever you follow the leading of the Holy Spirit- you will flow in the life of God-

On the other hand- THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH says that whenever you follow sin, fleshly desires and evil- you will be on the path that leads to destruction and death.

So in this laws we find LIFE versus DEATH- in the beginnings God warned the first man, and by extension the first woman, not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil- He told them that they could eat of all other trees apart from this one-

When they ate of this tree at the suggestion of the Devil- there was no physical death on the spot- but immediately they experienced a *SPIRITUAL DEATH which separated them, from God, but from a natural point of view they seemed to be “ alive and kicking ”.

Sooner than later, however reality kicked in, they began organizing funeral ceremonies. That is what happens to you anytime you disobey God- you may be functioning perfectly ok, but spiritually something has happen- and just give it time- it will translate into the flesh if you don’t repent.

Conversely, following the Holy Spirit will always result in life and things we associate with life like joy, peace, success, blessings, health, breakthrough etc. the bible teaches us that the real us – the INNER MAN – or our SPIRIT BEING - is in a tug of war with the flesh-

Both the Holy Spirit and the flesh want to lead us – which will you allow?

“ Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live !” – Deuteronomy 30:19
