REFLECTIONS FROM 🌴PALM SUNDAY🌴.

FROM JESUS THE " SUPERSTAR " TO JESUS THE " CRIMINAL ".

Good morning friends, am the Monk, bringing you live coverage from Jerusalem. Yesterday marked the triumphant entry of Jesus the " super star " into Jerusalem. All the major news outlets, journalist, bloggers, media houses and cameras were out here capturing this all important journey to Jerusalem. We apologize for being one day late in the transmission of this all important event.

The man at the epicenter of events is popularly known as JESUS alias " I will die and rise up on the third day" - Information we gather suggest this dude has some kind of a death wish, and this is further heightened by the desire of the religious leaders to make an example of him. He appears to be some kind of a revolutionary leader, only he doesn't own a gun or believe on violence.

We spotted the man at the center of the action riding in a cool, latest and nice bullet proof 4x4 vehicle by name " donkey x ". This car the first of its kind was first produced in the year 30, after the birth of Christ.

Yesterday the streets were full, traffic jam everywhere, not a single space, the police were out here in their numbers with some military support to ensure law and order. Everyone was singing his praise and people were speaking highly of him. We could hear boys -boys saying in the background " Charlie, the Jesus dude be too much ooh, he do all ", “ We also spotted a good number of Ladies crushing on him and saying to themselves "how they wish they could get a man like this for themselves ”

Believers were excited and hailing him as the messiah. Well, in a couple of days, Jesus would go down a spiral movement from a " superstar " to a " criminal ". The same people who hailed him and had crowned him a " Superstar " would call him a criminal and treat him as such.

Let's run some commentary now, as we await the next significant event in Jerusalem. Observe and you will note that the movie, music stars and celebrities' of yesterday no longer entertain us to the degree they once did. If you were around in the 80's and 90's, then you would remember names like Jah Rule, Nelly, Snoop Dog, Jackie Chan, Maame Dorkunu, Celine Dion, K.K Fosu, Ex- doe, Reggie Rock stone, Lord Kenya and many more...

The above mentioned, no longer entertain us like they did during their hay days. This should tell you that PUBLIC OPINION is FICKLE and one should not make the mistake of building his or her life around public opinion. People who were once famous, in the lime light and thought the sun would never rise without them, have discovered to their utter dismay, that people will change their mind about you in a FLASH.

One moment they hail you, making you feel like they can't breathe without you, and the next time they leave you to hang as they rush past you to enthrone the next upcoming and rising star.

In this age and time it is extremely dangerous to build your SELF-WORTH and ESTEEM on the number of likes or following, Do yourself a favour and remember not to take the ' hosanna ' they are singing about you, to heart, it is fickle and don't you ever make the mistake of thinking they all love you.

In fact a majority of them don’t. They TOLERATE you because of the services you provide and your gifting’s.

Understanding this will prevent a lot of heartbreaks as far as your cosmopolitan existence is concerned.

Some of you seem to be INDISPENSABLE where you ARE. Please enjoy it while it last, for it is just a matter of time. No human is indispensable.

So your family always counts on you, the church always calls on you, your place of work always, your friends make you feel like they can't live without you- please enjoy it while it lasts- People evolve and experiences can make people change.

You know, being the sun around which everything else revolves is a good feeling. But that's exactly how you can get your heart broken and never recover. I know people who are still bitter. They always say " hmm after all my services to him or her or to the church or the company see how they treated me ..." My dear friends-this is the harsh reality of life.

Truth is that if you are a GIFTED PERSON , people will seek out your GIFTS. People will constantly hail you and request your services until you can't provide those services anymore. If you think people come to you because they like you, you will be amazed to see how many people came to JESUS because of what they could get, so one time Jesus piped up and said, I know you are after me "sake of bread and miracles" - John 6:26 - , but take note when it looked like his ministry was taking a nose dive- the same people asked him to be crucified-They even added let his blood be upon our head . Even his own disciples deserted him.

Human nature, hmm. I meet people who are so depressed and disappointed because they sacrificed so much for someone, or for an organization or for family or friends and now that they have taken a nose dive, no one is minding them.

This is the life my people. See errh, let just gist you- better still advise you, if you think because of your services, the crowd of people seeking after you love you, am sorry you are living in a fool’s paradise.

Hear me when I tell you, there are very few people in your life time who will love you because of your personality, for who you are- many people will get close to you because of what you carry and the problems you can solve for them.

Being sought after can make you feel loved and admired, it can make you feel worthy and good; my advice- just enjoy it as long as it last, but never let it get into your head.

Don't get it twisted, just because people love your gift does not necessarily mean they love you as a person. Most of them will never really know you. Most of them don't care about you either. They just want a share of your gift and service and that's all. As soon as your season is over, they will move on as if you were never there.

So keep your head up, be selfless, expect no reward, serve humanity with your gift but don't let the applause get into your head, it is fickle. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in men. " Put no confidence in mortals what are they worth? -" Isaiah 2:22

For your information am still in Jerusalem, because this week promises to very intriguing and dramatic, we will see how things will turn up, but suffice to say things are getting heated up here.
