Extended Blind Contour

Colorful Camo

I wanted my Blind Contour drawing to be colorful and bright. Which is why I made my background a colorful camo/blob pattern. I didn't leave much white space and I also scattered drawings of stars all over my paper and colored them bright colors and outlined them in black sharpie. My Blind Contour drawing relates to my life because I don't think all art should have perfect lines or create the perfect, exact image of what you're drawing. So the blind part of this project gave it an abstract twist because we couldn't exactly tell where our lines were.

The materials I used while doing my Blind Contour drawing included an HB pencil, a large piece of paper, watercolors, colored pencils, and a black sharpie. I did most of my work in class and did my background at home.

I started off by just blindly drawing objects, myself, and people. Then I turned my paper different ways to see what way made the most sense. When I started adding color I experimented with watercolors and colored pencils. My project slowly evolved as I added more shapes and colors and made black lines to my drawings. My next step would be too make it less messy and put more thought into it instead of just painting it.
