Artist Statement

Shock

My main idea for this project was to add facial features all located in different areas on the page that all showed the expression of shock and surprise. I also wanted to incorporate lots of color and different plants and flowers and do a collage which is why I chose to make my background up of a cut up flower magazine. The materials I used to create this were cut up magazine pages, tape, cut up paper, paint markers, and pencil. The process I used to create this piece took a lot longer than I thought because cutting out and taping all the magazine pieces took a lot of the time I used to work on this project.
