Word Design

The ideas that are visually evident in my work is that I wanted to be creative but I also wanted my work to still look simple and not have that many colors, which is why when I did add color I made sure to only put 2 colors and black. An idea that is evident in my first word design piece is that I made the letters in a crooked font and I put tiger stripes inside the font. My project relates to my life because the second word design piece has the Freeport Falcons on it and it also has the year I graduate on it.

My work was made with pencils, erasers, a ruler, painters tape, a black gel pen, markers, and acrylic paint.

The process I used to create my art was sketching everything out first and then deciding if I wanted to add color. I also had to experiment with the font and the size of my letters and the placing. My project really evolved when I added color and outlined everything in black sharpie which really made it stand out. My project also really evolved when I took the painters tape off and it had clean edges. I think my next steps could have been to do the acrylic paint background better and for my Freeport Falcon project I would make it have more design so it would have more character.
