Artist Statement

Never Ending

The main idea that guided this piece of work was that I wanted everything to be connected or look never ending. I wanted this because all the lines in my blind contour drawing were connected and I thought it would look good if that was a recurring pattern. I also wanted my work to include a lot more darker and mellow colors which is why I used darker reds and greens and then muted colors. The materials I used for this piece of work were just paper, black sharpie pen, tape, and markers. My process for this work is that I did all of the drawings on one paper and then cut them out and put them on a smaller piece of paper with a background.
